xscreensaver - fails in 3.0alpha6
« on: June 14, 2010, 05:52:13 AM »
I'm working to solve this error. Thanks to jls_legalize for the heads-up. Still works fine under TC2+.

error while loading shared library: lib Xxf86misc.so.1: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory

Anybody know off-hand which library/extension is needed? I'll start trying random extensions, but I'm happy to have the help.

Original xscreensaver-base.tcz.dep only needed libglade.tcz. I'll start reading there (but tomorrow!)

That lib has been deprecated (removed) in Xorg 7.5. A rebuild for 3.x is necessary.
The only barriers that can stop you are the ones you create yourself.

dentonlt:

I have had similar problems. However, try adding nspr.tcz and nss.tcz to /optional. This works for me. Not sure yet which does the trick.
