Sat dvb in MCL

I ask assistance.
I try to customise the Internet through the satellite on MicroCoreLinux (2.11).
Has compiled modules for the dvb card (Prof revolution 7301).

Too most under ubuntu works (.
Something is not customised in a kernel??

Same problem with standart v4l-dvb-2.6.29.1-tinycore.tcz on dvb card SkyStar3 (Technotrend 1401).
IMHO is not a problem of drivers or the dvb card.

Help out a bit, what's supposed to happen? Is there something in dmesg in Ubuntu that's not here?
If it's a network interface, does it go through a net driver, the dvb one, or both? Does it need bringing up (does ifconfig show it)?

edit: does the card need firmware?

Thanks for the answer.
Has started to write already the answer, but having looked inet has understood that my card has hardware problems.
Many complain of them.
I will try to substitute a card to begin with.
