Google selling out on net neutrality?

There've been some net neutrality developments in the last few days. Google is supposedly making a deal with Verizon that could allow higher speed for certain content:

Or maybe not:

lots of rumour mongers making a lot of noise, is all. We're not going to know what's going on til either of them tells us what the deal is, and until then, people will jump to conclusions.
