Why is Tiny Core Linux based on glibc 2.3.6?
(1/1)
john biles:
Hello Everyone,
I develope TEENpup Linux which is a major remaster of Puppy Linux and the next release will be 700MB's big.
As Tiny Core Linux is only a few months old I was just wondering why its base libs are 1.5 to 2 years old.
Is it because Debian Etch still has it core libs at 2.3.6?
curaga:
No, we don't really care what Debian is at. 2.3.6 is just a very stable release, well tested. The same thing can not be said of all new glibc releases.
john biles:
OK, thought that could be a reason as well. TEENpup is still at 2.3.5
Thanks for the info
