Graphics issues
« on: April 23, 2010, 02:02:39 PM »
How would I fix kernel based graphics issues?  I've tried pretty much everything as far as 915resolution and xorg etc.  After some research I'm pretty sure my intel 830m isn't supported correctly since 2.6.29.

What issues do you have? As far as I know, that chipset should still be supported even in the latest versions.
The only barriers that can stop you are the ones you create yourself.

Thats my other post describing symptoms etc.

I stumbled across some newsgroup conversations about new kernels not supporting the hardware.  I didn't bookmark them, but since that post I've discovered puppy 431 and slitaz both don't work either even tho previous versions are flawless.  I looked for older versions of tc but couldnt find any way to download them.  I would prefer tc over any other os, but its not looking good.
