2.10 recursion ?

Happy to see 2.10 out. Thanks to all involved.

regarding:

Attention extension makers: Recursion is now finalized and ready for deployment. Please note in the .info when an extension is using recursion.

Remind me what is different and unique for extensions using recursion from those that don't (besides the info file).

What changes are required for the extension build process?
