PREEMPT_RT patch still possible ?

Hello,
are there any plans to support newer kernel releases like 2.6.3x?
Would it be possible to apply the PREEMPT_PATCH ?
Best Regards

We're currently looking at 2.6.33.
No, I don't think the RT patches will be used for the official kernel. They decrease throughput and only are useful to a small number of users (music people?).

The kernel version 2.6.33 would be OK.
TinyCoreLinux could be very interesting for embedded control systems using ethernet based fieldbuses.
For that reason we nee the real-time patch.

In the past I have built my own kernels with the RT patches applied and use that with TC/MC. Lately I have been using latest RT kernels from Ubuntu with TC/MC and that seems to work fine.
