wireless card suggestion

Hello,

I was wondering if tinycore users could recommend a cheap wireless card (pcmcia or usb) that has been working on tinycore without problems.

The reason I ask is that I have an old Toshiba Satellite laptop that works flawlessly with tinycore, but it does not have wireless.

You could try choosing one from http://linuxwireless.org/en/users/Devices that is supported.

Atheros or an older Ralink chipset would be my recommendation. rt2400, rt2500 and atheros do not require any firmware, and so are the most hassle-free to get working.

Some of the newest devices might not be supported in our kernel, even if the driver is listed as supported.

so, would a BELKIN F5D7010 Wireless G Notebook Card work with TC? It's supposed to have a Ralink RT2500 chipset and it's $13.99 on newegg.

Would you recommend something else, perhaps better?

Would a TRENDnet TEW-621PC or a BELKIN F5D8013 work with TC? These two are 300Mbps (while the first one above is only 54mbps) and are cheaper, too.

That first belkin one looks good. Some revisions of that though have used unsupported chipsets.

The two latter ones don't yet have stable drivers, plus they require firmware.
