Local extension won't install permanently [solved]
« on: February 15, 2010, 02:59:45 PM »
I have an eee netbook, so to connect to the internet I need wireless and wireless tools. I would like these to remain installed just like other extensions, but because I have to install them locally from downloaded copies, they refuse to remain installed - so I can't use bootlocal.sh to automatically connect to the internet when I turn the eee on.

What am I doing wrong? Using 2.8 btw.

First make sure you have a persistent tce directory, and have installed wireless_tools using Appbrowser.
Run AppsAudit.
Usng the OnBoot tab, select wireless_tools.
Make the edits to bootlocal.sh that you need to bring up the wireless interface.
Run Backup.

Yep, that worked. Thanks! TC changes faster than I can keep up, but 2.8 is very nice.
