Mounting ext4 volumes is supported by the filesystems-2.6.29.1-tinycore extension.  Base support is being considered for TC 3.0.

Note there have been many changes to ext4 since 2.6.29, I wouldn't recommend running ext4 with TC 2.x.
The only barriers that can stop you are the ones you create yourself.
