how to put extensions in tclocal?
« on: January 19, 2009, 03:20:53 PM »
I read the getting started a couple of times but still can't get straight how to put extensions in the tclocal directory. I created it using the menu tool and I see how the boot code will point to it during startup but how do tce extensions get loaded in it? Do I just copy them over manually from the tce directory?

If I follow you, yes, just copy your extensions into the /tcZ folder and they load at bootup.

edit: Opps...I didn't know about tclocal, but it looks like extensions are just copied into it the same way as for the tcZ folder.

After you set things up, just load .tce extensions once.

You may have to add other files (usually config files) outside of tclocal (/usr/local) to your backup/restore though, depending on the extension.
