moving tclocal to the boot cd - any problems doing this?

I have not had any problems moving the tce directory to the boot cd but I wonder if it is possible to move the tclocal directory as well. Would all the ownership, permissions and symlinks  get screwed up?

Iso9660 supports proper permissions via Rockridge, aka the -R switch of mkisofs. Symlinks are supported also by Rockridge.

On the other hand, TC expects /usr/local to be writable. Putting it on a cd would prevent installing most extensions. If this is not a problem, it should be fine.
The only barriers that can stop you are the ones you create yourself.
