                Go to Edit > Preferences > Sound and select your driver (OSS or ALSA).
                Go to Edit > Preferences > Other and set your mixer (ossxmix or alsamixer).
                Run in a full-width window to see all the controls.
                Use a right-click to position the cursor on the track.
                Recording may not work with OSS. Instead use: ossrecord filename.wav
                Check the folder ~/.mhwaveedit for occasional large left-over files.
