samba config file not saved after reboot?
« on: January 15, 2011, 10:00:04 AM »
after 24 hours of work I was able to smbclient from TC 3.41 into another P on the LAN.
smb.conf was set up - woo this was tough
my new smb.conf file was in /usr/local/etc/samba/

after reboot incl. backup I found the original default smb.conf in that folder.

How can I make this file and the folder /private permanent?
There are also other files which I would like to see again after reboot such as hosts and othe....

Can somebody help me on this?

Man thanks in advance

You need to add
usr/local/etc/samba
to /opt/.filetool.lst.
