it's such a joy to use rox again, thank you. if you turn on image thumbnails (off is a very good default!) it's very useful in managing your picture files. rox is useful for many things.
after reading about xfe as a tc extension, i removed thunar from my xubuntu install and replaced it with xfe. as nice as rox is for most things, xfe and its side-view folder tree is what i needed to replace the file management i use in xubuntu. that view is the one thing rox does not have... but rox is generally much nicer
(if anyone plans to do this as a xubuntu user: beware, if you remove thunar it will probably remove volume management also... meaning you'll have to mount manually from now on.)
