Request Qucs.

Qucs is an integrated circuit simulator which means you are able to setup a circuit with a graphical user interface (GUI) and simulate the large-signal, small-signal and noise behaviour of the circuit. After that simulation has finished you can view the simulation results on a presentation page or window.

Xiphos has a lot of dependancies that currently are not available in TC: gtkhtml, libgnomeui, libbonoboui, gnome-keyring...

BibleTime looks like it would be a little easier to integrate into TC (at this point) since it depends on QT instead of Gnome.

Would having BibleTime instead of Xiphos be a problem?

Request Mjpegtools - http://mjpeg.sourceforge.net/

The mjpeg programs are a set of tools that can do recording of videos and playback, simple cut-and-paste editing and the MPEG compression of audio and video. Command line tools.

Thanks,

Alex

Alex, until someone makes that extension, would mencoder be able to do what you need?

I was thinking to try 'unison' (text interface, no gtk2) in order to keep some content on a few computers in sync: http://www.cis.upenn.edu/~bcpierce/unison/

Unison is coded in ocaml. So building unison might also require the ocaml compiler as an intermediate step. I tried to give it a shot but I ran into problem during the configure phase of the build...

Since file synchronization is a somewhat common problem, I guess someone might either:
- give a try building a 'unison' extension,
- or alternatively tell me how to implement a pain-free, robust, 2-way synchronization in order to keep some content in sync on different hosts.

Requests:
gpa http://www.gnupg.org/related_software/gpa/index.en.html
tor http://www.torproject.org/
privoxy http://www.privoxy.org/
tsocks http://tsocks.sourceforge.net/
VirtualBox Guest Additions http://www.virtualbox.org/

With these I think I can build my ultimate, thin and secure virtual machine.

EDIT: tsocks and tor were submitted for review today....

Thank you for your response Curaga. What I need from Mjpegtools is some utilities for analog video capture (i.e. lavrec). I guess that mencoder is for video post-processing only.

What about some sort of calendar programme?
Remind would do it for me, but others might want something more graphical like Osmo.

I was wondering is someone could possibly recompile Python with the SQLite USE flag enabled. This is pretty much stopping my research in its tracks and I'm not experienced enough to really mess around with compiling Python. My justification for this is the fact that there is Python in the repo, and SQLite 3 in the repo, but one cannot import the sqlite3 module in Python. :'(

Thanks,
Steven
