Offline download to TCE?
« on: October 08, 2009, 02:55:07 PM »
I'm building my thumbdrive with TinyCore.   But where do I download my TCE files?
I'd like to have my desktop download them .. so I can add to my thumbdrive.

Thanks!

This threw me as well slightly when i first discovered TCL (yesterday). While there is a download link on the front page, if you follow it through to the repository pages there's no link you can actually click on to download a package. To do that you have to craft a URL by hand to get what you want.

The ftp site and the mirrors are easier to get packages from:

EDIT!!
See post below for link to packages.

ftp://distro.ibiblio.org/pub/linux/distributions/tinycorelinux/tce/
http://ftp.nluug.nl/os/Linux/distr/tinycorelinux/tce/

What you are referring to is the obsolate 1.x TCE repository. Do not use these links.

Correct ftp link for current repository for 2.x versions:

ftp://distro.ibiblio.org/pub/linux/distributions/tinycorelinux/2.x/tcz/
