Looking for Xfce 4.8 testers
« on: January 18, 2011, 02:07:24 AM »
I'm just porting latest Xfce 4.8 to TC. Would be good to test before submitting to repo. Testers are welcome.

Now Xfce 4.8 is in the repo. Just install Xfce4.tcz which will install a minimal system.

I need some help here please: How to make sure that I see the TC app icons on the bottom?

I have problems to exit. that exit button seems to be not working in Xfce

I also can not see my "on demand" applications frm Xfce and do not know how to start them
from the GUI

on some Pcs the Xburner does not work. I can select the items to burn but when I try to hit
the continue to burn button the on screen box is empty.

can somebody help?

otherwise - I like this GUI and especially thunar and gigolo.

I suspect there is something wrong with your system. Works for me almost anything "out of the box". I use TC 3.5.1.

I need some help here please: How to make sure that I see the TC app icons on the bottom?

I'm assuming that you mean "panel 2". There, I have TC icons for "AppBrowser", "Control Panel" and "AppsAudit". All icons work as expected.

I have problems to exit. that exit button seems to be not working in Xfce

I have 2 "TC exit icons". One on the desktop and one in "panel 1". Both work as expected.

I also can not see my "on demand" applications frm Xfce and do not know how to start them from the GUI

I found all my OnDemand apps in "panel 1" -> "Applcation Menu" -> "Sontiges" (I have locale=DE, in locale=c there it is probably "others")

on some Pcs the Xburner does not work. I can select the items to burn but when I try to hit
the continue to burn button the on screen box is empty.

I have Xburner not been tested.
