Wicd downloading problems
« on: September 25, 2009, 05:15:04 PM »
I've been using Tiny Core 2.3 on my laptop for almost a month now and decided to finally make the plunge and install it on the hard drive.

Everything went well and it installed, however I can't get it to install the wicd.tce when i go through the appbrowser (I was using a wired connection up to this point) all the buttons are greyed out when I try to install it or download, but it still shows up in the left window when I search for it under the TCE. Am I missing something here??

Wicd has been pulled until it can be rebuilt since it depended on the old pygtk that is no longer available.  There must be some files left on the server as it should not be visible by the appbrowser.  I don't have much access to wireless to test it with, though rebuilding it for the current pygtk is on my to do list.

Ok, thanks for telling me. I don't need it right away anyhow (Not really till June 2010) so I'll wait.

I just gave it a shot but I am not well versed in wireless and dbus and the like.  Perhaps someone more familiar with such and the means to test it can build it soon.
