Vim & GVIM on Tiny Core Linux
« on: October 15, 2026, 05:18:26 PM »
Hi I am trying to set up my .vimrc on TCL, and I have run into some problems.
In my screenshot, the window on the left is GVIM, whereas the right window is vim in aterm or xterm.
The fonts look very different? and I am just trying to make the Gvim window's font look like that in terminal.
Is it possible?

Also, my .cpp shows $ sighs after every line, is it possible to get rid of them? Are they supposed to be there because it's linux?

-thanks!

Hi MaxFury
The dollar signs are end of line markers to make it easier to
spot unprintable characters at the end of lines.

You should be able to turn that off with the command:
Code: [Select]
:set nolistin the vim editor.

You could also check for a  ~/.vimrc  and look for a line that says:
Code: [Select]
set listRemove that line.
