SSH, in the base (dropbear) or OpenSSH in the repos.

don't work in order to contact a remote server via vpn; f.ex. i want to reach the network of my company in order to use internal services only provided via vpn for remote user, and i can get the connection to the gateway:

sudo ssh username@remote.gateaway
connection timed out

it works great with vpn cisco client on a win machine. Do I do something wrong? Or do we need vpnc for TC/MC (the last version doesn't work with gnupg2 because of a problem with libgcrypt11)

Sorry, VPN is a generic term, I didn't know you meant Cisco's. To connect to that you would need the correct client.

I submitted vpnc and according libs a few minutes ago, it works perfectly with the Cisco concentrator at my university. If you can't wait for Jason to release it, feel free to write a PM.

Best regards,
Robert

gutmensch: it would be very helpful for me; i had downloaded the extension from you link, but even if it loads ok, i didn't find how to make it work (don't see the vpnc app in /usr/local, neither in /usr/bin nor in /usr/local/share); do you speak about a new version of this extension that you have built? anyway, i would be glad to test it since my office also force me to use the Cisco VPN client. many thanks in advance
