no-cost partial mirror for extensions
(1/1)
linic:
Hi,
Posting here in case this is useful to anyone. Here is an example of using github pages to host a "partial mirror" where extensions are stored in github's lfs. Not all the features of a full mirror can work there. It requires a patch of tce-load which is served as tce-load-github-lfs.tcz on the mirror. It works only with 16.x/x86. It's a proof of concept.
The code: https://github.com/linic/tcz.facedebouc.sbs
The resulting site: http://tcz.facedebouc.sbs/
The custom domain name is for fun and makes this proof of concept "costly". Use the default domain name given by github to have the "no-cost" solution.
Happy New Year 2026 everyone!! Thanks again to everyone contributing to tinycorelinux!! The community is awesome and it's a fantastic distribution!!
