Wyse WT1200LE
« on: December 23, 2025, 04:19:38 PM »
I was interesting in buying this terminal, but it doesn't have BIOS.

Is there anyone who can do test and swap bios chip from Wyse Sx0 or Wyse 3235LE or Evo T20 or Evo T30 and put it in to WT1200LE?

WT1200LE has a place where CF card reader can be soldered. If we put bios chip from 3235LE then. maybe it can boot WinCE/Linux from CF card.

There is Coreboot project, that allow to create your own bios bin. If we use Wyse Sx0 to flash our coreboot bios chip, we can move this chip to WT1200LE, and have custom BIOS that allow to boot Linux.

There is also scenario to dump WT1200LE firmware and analyze code, if there are chances to boot from XPE or USB.
