If you have NTFS file system in your hard drive it could be difficult to cooperate with TCL that is on pendrive. TCL was designed to be installed on small removable media. Not in NTFS hard drive.
Best oprion: buy small pendrive only for TCL. Then install it using grub4dos. Or Rufus (microcore.iso only).
If you want to test only, use virtulbox or CD-R.

If you simply copied the contents of the ISO to a USB drive, your problem is most likely that your drive is not bootable.Reformat you USB drive to FAT32 then use Rufus to copy the files and make the USB drive bootable.
