ncdu won't run in TC16 x86_64
« on: June 10, 2025, 07:52:32 PM »
Since upgrading from TC15 to TC16 when I try to run "ncdu" from ncdu.tcz it fails with this error (and messes up the terminal):
Code: [Select]
ncdu: symbol lookup error: ncdu: undefined symbol: _nc_acs_map

The MD5sum of ncdu.tcz on my system matches the current version and other programs that depend on ncursesw.tcz run fine, so I think ncdu needs to be recompiled for TC16.

Hi CNK. I can reproduce the problem on TCL16 x86_64.

I just submitted an updated ncdu extension for the TCL16 x86_64 repository. It will be available as soon as the TCL developers post it.

Hi GNUser
This sounds similar to the problem you encountered here:
https://forum.tinycorelinux.net/index.php/topic,27049.0.html

The current version of ncursesw-dev now has  ncursesw6-config  as described here:

Thanks GNUser, that was quick!

Hello,

Gosh, tricky with Firmware......right ?

i seem to recall some hardware is inevitably "broke" if firmware updates fail.......(interminably )

hope it works out  (somehow)
Thx
