Schroot?
« on: April 01, 2025, 07:57:12 PM »
I'm looking for the SCHROOT service/utility in TinyCore's extension library, or how to get it installed via the dCore project.

Is it available?  How am I supposed to be able to find a specific utility like this via searching?

I also am finding it incredulous that I cannot find a GUI app in the TCE library for viewing or changing the screen resolution.  Usually, the desktop manager provides a utility like that. Is there anything like that available within TinyCore?

Ok, I installed the VMware video driver and VM tools, and now I can change the video resolution using terminal to 2560x1440. However, that isn't a GUI tool to set resolution, nor does the higher resolution remain after restarting X or rebooting. What is the best way to tell X to start up at the maximum screen resolution or a specific screen resolution?

That is nice, but I guess the answer is there is no SCHROOT extension presently in TC.  There is one 'Provides' search hit on 'zsh', but that TC extension doesn't actually provide SCHROOT but has a similar named private file internally.

Hi cparke
I checked all of the x86 an x86_64 repositories and Tinycore
has never had schroot.
