Web connecting Wi fi

Hello Forum,

Please can you say if you can help about connecting my Laptop to the Web
( internet)

The desktop shows the public free wi fi signal ( good) ....... and it connects but will not present the Telco supplier landing web page for me to LOG IN to the WI FI.....?

It has an obligatory "no go" web page ........try this and try that........
non of that advice works.....

It's a paid for service so should i contact that my Telco company......right?

The hardware here almost seems to be conflicted. It's trying to superimpose my already paid for WI FI (without giving me the supply) onto my also paid for "4G Telco mobile data" supply.......while i try to web connect the Laptop

(it could be some Channel selection issue.....? )

There is also a very Lame WIRED DSL connection here ........it's handy capped at ONE quarter of ONE megabit per second due to contractors wrapping delicate HIGH FREQUENCY telco wires around Tons of heavy POWER CABLES...........thus breaking the DSL signal to snail speed...........

If it's a paid service, there's a good chance that you've been blocked cause your device has never been registered.
You'll have to contact the service provider directly.

On second thought, there's a chance that the public wi-fi is simply just a bunch of crap like how my school used to be.
In that case, you can try typing the IP to the wi-fi beacon directly.
In my case, it was the regular 192.168.1.1, which will redirect me to the official login page where I could input my student ID and password.

Try to open a clear text (HTTP) web page by IP in command line with curl -v:

That would trigger the captive portal page , commonly used by public WIfi like in hotels, airplanes etc:

Pay close attention to the Location response header, it will show the login portal URL to sign in :

Managed to solve it via "Tunnelling" of internet protocol numbered addresses

192.168.... so on (Domains)

.......It's a very last option, for "reasonable web (speed)" connection for online service(s)

.......persevered here (so) ......it works !

The method for "business Routers"sending out a free public wi fi signal is that it's a POOL where-by -----> that business telco got it's wi fi supply via bandwidth from "already existing in range" Local customers of the same telco via all their IDLE Router DSL bandwidth(s).

....it then pools all that bandwidth together and offers it "back out" as a wi fi portal for public street citizens log into and PAy for expensive wi fi......... web

possibly , if my router or anybody's has entered into that POOL then
is somehow Reset.......the over-all log-in then defaults right back down
to only specific channel .........(in other words, it won't let you USE the full speed free wi fi since your router is already known to be a supplier of it's Pool and local........so it has then forced ONLY a default channel to your hardware)

The system Has received my router details again.......though it has
throttled to the slowest DSL possible at a quarter of ONE megabit per second

Although there is also a strange anomaly where the mechanism also seems to SUPERIMPOSE my already paid for 4g handset internet onto the Router box WI FI
dsl signal....?........( a channel ( s) switch by telco ...?......)

Wi fi signal Tunnel Tethering on some apps DOES WORK.....and gets the full speed.

( the 4g Telco handset provider offers maybe 20 gigs at a reasonable rate )

but it was a proper back up that would be useful........not just relying on one telco web network system
