bsd - Linux Binary Compatibility `Base System`

(1/1)

mocore:
reading through the handbook & found bsd has a "Linux Binary Compatibility" https://docs.freebsd.org/en/books/handbook/linuxemu/

which requires a  Linux userland  aka  `Base System`

...as noted else where wrt to bsd

hear is the rocky linux base system's @ https://cgit.freebsd.org/ports/tree/emulators/linux_base-rl9/Makefile

this made me wonder (no pun intended ;) ) how much similarity or difference there might be between components / size  ect
comparing rocky-linux base and core ?.. ???

and if there might be any advantage/disadvantage to creating core based user-land for bsd's linux emulation  ( would that be much more than busybox??! + scripts)
