HP Linux Bios Tool
« on: September 16, 2024, 08:42:40 PM »
I'm running tinycore 13.1 on an HP computer, and I modify the bios settings frequently. Found this tool on Hp's website that allows BIOS settings to be altered from the OS. I've been trying to get this working for a few days. I'm unable to run the make file to install the kernel module necessary to run the tool.
Would appreciate any guidance.

Can you post the error message you get - most likely you need the prepared kernel source.

The command that was cut off is just "make" to invoke the Makefile.

Hi dwadehug
The kernel version in your image is  6-3-8-otiemec.
That does not match any Tinycore kernel versions.

I'm stumped, the OS should be tinycore, as I'm able to run the tce-load and app browser commands.
Any idea what that kernel information would indicate?
