help changing the size on type at command line
« on: September 01, 2024, 12:29:47 AM »
If I download Core, is there someway to change the size of the type for the command line?
my display is 1366x768 but the command line is 80x25, however it shrinks it to the middle of the display with very large borders.
Thanks
(i've checked F2 BIOS - no options)

Two options:
1) the KMS driver for your GPU if there is one (intel, amd with the graphics- extension and necessary firmware). This will need Xorg or Xfbdev instead of Xvesa
2) the vga= boot option, see the FAQ for details. This will need Xfbdev instead of Xvesa

You can skip the X changes if only using the command line.
The only barriers that can stop you are the ones you create yourself.
