USED TECH GEAR
« on: August 19, 2024, 07:09:54 PM »
hello forum,

Do you fancy TECH gear but hate the prices....?.....

......even although a lovely new device may be as little as a 99 bucks Chromebook.............which can quad boot WIN LIN or anDroid or Chrome OS

........but what about just 10 bucks for a State of the art device which is a decade old......and originally retailed at 939  bucks........?

some of the bargains in buying USED Laptops are exceptional........

......a decade OLD laptop was built to LAST back then ......TITANIUM CASE...... & has sat in an office doing absolutely nothing for a decade.....it's in PERFECT condition....... and is a VERY high end device for 10 bucks.............original price 939 bucks

new stuff today at 99 bucks is built to FAIL ......and FAIL fast......

an example of bargains is a "used HP EliteBook 8470p" laptop .........they go for 10 bucks USED on ebay......in perfect condition.......

3 gig cpu bursting to 3.5 .....is dual core or quad core  ( Full virtualisation)
4 gigs ram
1 gig RAM built into the Graphics end...
DVD burner, ....combi.... CD burner.
webcam......
option for 4g SIM CARD
wi fi
blue tooth
fingerprint log in.....
win 10 64b pro
UWIF bios if wanted ......or Legacy

a very high end device...........10 bucks...

what's not to like?

Hope it helps.
C

PS....

...., often the machines are sold "10 bucks FOR PARTS" because the person could not get the thing going.........but there is a KEY COMBINATION
on that 8470p model called the "FN and a function key" combi........pressing it will bring the laptop OUT of a "cryogenic state" where it previously  wouldn't have even  done anything with power connected...

so most times ......these LAptops are actually fully working.......and in perfect condition

Sounds interesting, but I noticed you did not mention a source for these epic deals.

sources for used equipment will vary depending on where you are on the planet and what your capabilities might be.

in usa there is craigslist to barter/buy/donate/exchange/trade/sell/etc

also you can place "WANTED" notices on bulletin-boards in places like bingo-halls/churches/gyms/laundrymats/restaurants/etc

if you are offering to dispose of unwanted electronics, they will probably just want you to haul it all away so you should also make sure you can responsibly dispose of the items that are broken and/or that you can't use
