Help! `startx' not working!

(1/1)

ハイドン:
First off, I'm new to Tiny Core Linux, but I must say I'm impressed with what I've seen so far. I've encountered a small problem, however, that has arisen after integrating a number of extensions into the Microcore 2.2 iso. I integrated Xorg (not xvesa) and all its dependencies as well as XFCE and a couple of others (all along with their required dependencies). When I start the system, however, the first thing the terminal reads (after initial boot) is:

--- Code: ----sh: startx: not found
--- End code ---

Needless to say, it will not start x, and remains stuck in the command line interface (which functions perfectly well, it just won't start the GUI). If it helps, I followed the instructions on the wiki for integrating the extensions into the iso.

Anyone know of any solutions?

Do you have the two core elements loaded / integrated to the iso (Xlibs.core.tczl and Xprogs.core.tczl)? They are needed for graphics with microcore, even with Xorg integrated.

ハイドン:
This is probably a silly question, but where do I download these two core elements? I can't find them in the TCZ repository (the web version at least).

curaga:
ftp://ftp.ibiblio.org/pub/linux/distributions/tinycorelinux/2.x/release/core_elements/

Or, just under the directory you got the microcore iso from :)

Well that was easy! Thanks for tolerating newbies like me!
