Is your question about x?
Have you loaded Xorg-3d and adjusted config.txt?

Yes, getting a blank screen after loading Xorg-3d in v14.1 . I haven't yet loaded that in V15 and v15 is working well on a rPi400.
I can ssh tc@ ... , but cannot get in due to password. Is there a default password to login ?

With piCore14, if you are trying to use the vc4 display driver, you need to manually create vc4.conf for Xorg. That is setup automatically in piCore15
