audio jack not sending youtube video sound to earbuds (Raspi 3 B+)

(1/1)

hemorrhoidman:
my raspi 3 B+ running picore 14.0 doesnt want to send audio to earbuds thru headphone jack, I installed alsa.tcz, alsz-modules.tcz, alsa-utils, etc... as well as ffmpeg.tcz. when I play youtube videos, no audio is coming through the earbuds.

This pi used to run raspian, where it would have the same problem, but it would fix when I changed the output to aux instead of HDMI. (it always, no matter what install, would default audio to HDMI instead of the built-in aux port)

is there a line of code I forgot to run? I have already rebooted multiple times.

Juanito:
“aplay -l” will show you which output is the default.

If aux is not the default you will need to change it.

What are you using to play the YouTube videos?
