It's broken and it doesn't work doesn't provide any
useful information to address your issue.

I just ran those commands (TC14 x86_64) and It came
back with  "Your system is up to date.".

It flagged a few extensions I had that don't exist in the
repo as errors, but that's normal.

I haven't investigated, I don't know what's going on but simple things which were ok earlier now don't work. I just propose to take it easy. Or provide an investigation.

Just ran audit -- everything up to date
Manually modified one of my .md5.txt files and re-ran
What I had modified was detected and updated.
Everything went as expected.
