icu67-dev and icu70-dev reverse dependencies

<< < (4/4)

Juanito:
First of all, I could be wrong...

If you're compiling something against icu74 and somewhere in the recursive dependency chain is icu70, the dependency will be met by libicudata.so.70 and friends without interfering with libicudata.so and libicudata.so.74 from icu74.

GNUser:
Hi Juanito. Thank you for that. I think I understand: If user loads icu74-dev to compile something, and icu70 (for example) gets loaded somewhere in the dependency chain, that's okay because icu70 is unlikely to interfere with icu74.

I guess we'll see how it goes. Hopefully there will be no breakage. If/when something breaks, I'm sure you'll cook up an elegant solution.
