dmenu with center patch
« on: November 01, 2023, 11:33:07 AM »
I actually already built this extension for personal use. It is latest dmenu but with a patch that adds  -c  option to put the menu in center of screen (rather than the default top of screen, where the menu gets obscured by my panel bar).

I'd like to send PM to dmenu maintainer (aus9) to see if he is interested in either compiling dmenu with this patch, if he wants me to submit this patched version, or if he prefers to keep unpatched version in repo. However, messaging system cannot find a user named aus9 (!?).

Any advice on how I should proceed?

looks like this was that user's last post before going back to "guest" status

i seem to recall that "aus9" has been a user, then guest...then back to a user several times previously.

Hi GNUser
aus9 deleted his user profile (again). His status now
shows up as guest:

Based on that, I would say you are free to do as you wish.

In that case, I'll adopt this extension.
I hope aus9 is just taking a break. He makes valuable contributions to the repository.
