Modify extension alsa-modules-5.10.77-piCore-v8.tcz

Hello,

I need to use a different alsa-modules-5.10.77-piCore-v8.tcz.

I recompile snd-usb-audio.ko, because I have to specify some parameters for my audio DAC.

How can I include the new snd-usb-audio.ko in  alsa-modules-5.10.77-piCore-v8.tcz, instead of current one?

Install  squashfs-tools.tcz

Unsquash the extension:

Code: [Select]

unsquashfs -d pkg alsa-modules-5.10.77-piCore-v8.tcz
Copy your new  snd-usb-audio.ko  to:

Code: [Select]

pkg/usr/local/lib/modules/5.10.77-piCore-v8/kernel/sound/usb/
Squash it into a new extension:

Code: [Select]

mksquashfs pkg alsa-modules-5.10.77-piCore-v8.tcz -noappend
Copy it to your  tce  directory.

Delete  alsa-modules-5.10.77-piCore-v8.tcz.md5.txt  so updates don't
replace your new modules file.

If you upgrade from piCore64 13.x to 14.x, the alsa extensions are updated from 1.2.3.2 -> 1.2.9 and the alsa kernel modules from 5.10.77 -> 6.1.25.
