what other distro's are tc'ers booting (on a spare sd card ...ect )
what do they do differently?
... (how/if) can this be used to the benefit of (pi)core ?
eg
" FreeBSD bootable image for Raspberry Pi" has grub2 (via uboot)

perhaps some of the modifications in the below list could also swim back up stream in to (pi)core ?
List of tinycore based projects @
https://forum.tinycorelinux.net/index.php/topic,25159.0.html
eg :
perhaps this or similar
https://github.com/on-prem/tinycore-symlinktool/blob/master/symlinktool.sh
- Alternative to filetool.sh which restores files as symlinks
could be a solution for "Python Library Module persistence" @
https://forum.tinycorelinux.net/index.php/topic,23561.0.html
on that topic fwiw `persistent pip troubleshooting`:
