I'm qurious, how is the size so small?

robc:
I think the boost team did quite a bit of cleanup since 1.37. Looking at the debian packages from 1.37 to 1.38 in squeeze there are significant package size reductions.

Juanito:
It might be a good idea to link /usr/local/include/boost-1_39/boost -> /usr/local/include/boost

..the couple of times I used boost, this was required to make things work.

I included this link in the update to boost (actually /usr/local/include/boost-1_40/boost -> /usr/local/include/boost)
