Some questions about extensions on TC
« on: February 27, 2022, 02:08:51 PM »
Hi,

i'm new to TC and wanted to ask which extensions you recommend on TC.

What i need is an imageviewer (jpg and png), some office tools (at least writing and not the editor which is preinstalled), a browser and there i saw, that there is the chromium browser available and also firefox - which one do you recommend and why? Also what other util extensions do you recommend? i found a list with all extensions, but there is no description for the new version (http://www.tinycorelinux.net/13.x/x86/tcz/).

Thanks for your reommendations  :)

EDIT:

Please keep in mind, that i have installed it on a very old PC with half a GB of RAM. So not everythiing is working (eg. Nautilus doesn't load)

Hi Dissi
For an image viewer, gpicview is a good choice:

... i found a list with all extensions, but there is no description for the new version ...
Look at the link I provided. Adding  .info  to the extension name will provide information about it.

I've never used it, but abiword might be worth looking at:

For spreadsheets, I use gnumeric:
