how to dual screen? how to beam?
« on: July 22, 2009, 08:02:37 AM »
current problem: i want to dual screen tc in two different situations:

1. between one laptop and one external screen using microcore and xvesa default tiny server: i cable together the laptop and the external screen, and i get a twin picture; but i would like to get dual screen à la twinview with the possibility to drag and drop apps from a screen to another; may i suppose to use xorg only, and if yes how should i configure it?

2. between one laptop and one beamer: just in order to project ppt presentation and so fort; i tried it with microcore and the xvesa default tiny server and a screen resolution 1366x768, but the picture on the wall shivers; here too, my i suppose to use xorg only, or it is possible to get good results with xvesa?

I believe you will need to use the xorg extension.

If you google on your graphics chip, xorg.conf and dual head, you should find a suitable config

I have a two videocards and two monitors and want to see _anything_ on second monitor during a boot or after boot. It's just for test hardware not for a work.

Any solution?
