No, the installer probably installed tc-install-GUI because it was present during the installation. If you want to remove it:
Click the Apps icon at the bottom of the screen, It looks like a screw head with a downward pointing blue arrow.
When the Apps window opens, click Apps->Dependencies and Deletions.
When the Select panel on the left gets populated, scroll down and click tc-install-GUI.tcz.
Click Dependencies->Mark for Deletion.
Click Dependencies->Exit Dependency Check.
Next time you reboot, it should be gone.
