As the subject line says, the Mplayer-nodeps extension (tcz version, I think---rats I'm not at a TC machine just now) leaves a root.root owned symlink to /usr/sharefonts/subfont.ttf in /home/tc/.mplayer/
I assume this is bad manners.

Confirmed. A simple permissions fix needed. I'm quite busy for a while, anyone up for the fix?
