SMF upgrade to 1.1.10
« on: July 22, 2009, 08:26:42 AM »
Just recognized on my own forum, that SMF 1.1.10 was released on July 14:

In my case update was smooth 1 minute job. TC Forum is also running on 1.1.9 still.

It would be nice if they activated a link to "unread posts" instead of just [recent topics] on this forum. It would make visiting the forum much more efficient.

What is wrong with the "Show unread posts since last visit" feature (upper left corner when you logged in) ?

I don't see that on http://forum.tinycorelinux.net/index.php (after logging in).  Am I looking on the wrong page?

Slightly off topic, but related -

On the forum index page, where the little diamond image to the left of each board "lights up" if there are unread messages on a board (if you are logged in), it would be nice if the diamond were a link to the board as well as the name of the board being a link.  I'm forever clicking the diamond and then kicking myself when nothing happens after a few seconds.

I don't see the "show unread posts" either. Maybe it is my firefox version. Don't tell me I have to use windows!  :)

Jeff

PS. Nope, don't see it in Windows Explorer either. I wonder if it is a profile setting?

This screen capture was taken on TC 2.1 running FIREFOX 3.5. No any special setup, everything is default:

Even though I am logged in, I don't have the user info box. I wonder how I can turn it on?

tnx, de Jeff

PS. I found the answer! I set the forum theme to "SMF Default" rather than "Forum Default" in the Layout section of my profile. Now the unread post option is available!  WaHoo

You are right, it depends on the Theme selected in Profile. I'm using the Babylon Theme.

It'll probably be done after a bit due to some reasons, but thanks for the notice anyways :)
