vlc will not start

    hi all

    i am trying to set up tinycore 11 with firefox and vlc

    firefox esr will run play youtube and has sound

    vlc will not start with errors   
 
    failed to intialise XRander
    and others 

    any ideas

That sounds like maybe you need to be running  Xorg  to use  vlc.

Actually, you need to switch from  Xvesa  to  Xorg.
