COREPLUS WIFI CAPTIVE PORTAL NO WEB BROWSER, WHAT TO DO ?
« on: May 16, 2020, 07:46:38 AM »
I have installed coreplus 11.1 with core2usb in an usb key (4Go, FAT32).
I have a wifi connection through captive portal (it means that I need a web browser to reach the portal and give my id and pwd to get connected to the internet).
I can start coreplus. It recognizes my wifi network and I can connect to it but after that, what to do ? There is not a mere web browser on this distri (did the developpers of TCL didn't think about this ? it's so frustrating  >:( !). Without true connection to the internet, I can't download any apps ...
Any help ?

In this situation you would need to download a browser using another machine/distro.

You could try downloading all the files listed here http://tinycorelinux.net/11.x/x86/tcz/dillo-beta.tcz.tree

including the *tcz, *tcz.dep (where they exist) and *tcz.md5.txt

Hi LOYR
Do you have another Linux distro that has Internet connectivity?

Hi LOYR
There is a script and instructions  for fetching extensions using another Linux distro here:

By downloading the appropriate packages here https://distro.ibiblio.org/tinycorelinux/11.x/x86/tcz/ and pasting it in tce/optional I have succeeded to install dillo and netsurf (in CorePLus menu Apps / Load App Locally -> select the appli to install and press Load). It's not difficult since Apps tells what lacks and those two web browsers are very light.  :) Well, at last I could open the captive portal hotspot.wifi.sfr.fr but when I type my id and pwd, it doesn't work  :( . Dillo and netsurf return : "120 100 Authentification failure", dillo add when the captive portal is opened : "Dillo TLS security warning: hotspot.wifi.sfr.fr Couldn't reach any trusted root certificate from supplied certificate. The issuer at the end of the chain was: "C=FR, O=Dhimyotis, CN=Certigna""
Any ideas to fix that ?
