Gedit is the solution
« on: March 25, 2020, 01:46:18 PM »
I have lost many days trying to get my Editor program and my Terminal aterm to type the symbols on my keyboard (Spanish and Catalan).

First I configured /opt/bootlocal.sh and /opt/.filetool.lst with the right font (in my case it's /qwerty/en.kmap), this is still necessary in any circumstance. It works for the command line console but for nothing else.

I thought of changing the terminal aterm to rxvt and it doesn't do anything either. Then I thought the problem must be the Locale configuration and tried getlocale.sh but in my case it does absolutely nothing.

Everything was very strange... and the only place that does things right (the command line console) I don't have a GUI to edit files.

Finally I thought about finding another text editor that fits CorePlus (gtk+) and it's gedit. We can to download the version 3.28.1 from the App's extension downloader thanks to juanito.

And with this new editor it finally works|
