No, I'm not sure they are interested in repairing of the things, which don't work properly, like vi, but are having much more fun braking things that work quite well, like dc.
But if it is must be done to apply into the TinyCore, of course I will write to the mailing  list, trying to be polite.
If I'm not mistaken, it is to be done with the help of their mailing list?

And busybox 1.29.3 can be patched in the same way, You see.

The idea is to avoid having to repeatedly patch subsequent busybox versions for the same thing - I have a 1.29.3 patch for vi as well.

Bugs can be filed at https://bugs.busybox.net/ - they have accepted several bug fixes/patches from tinycore users in the past.
