can mylocale.tcz and alsa settings be used across TCL versions?

I'm mentally preparing to upgrade Pure64 from 10.1 to 11.0. Two quick questions:
1. Is it possible to use /usr/local/etc/alsa/asound.state from an older TCL version in newer TCL version?
2. Is it possible to use mylocale.tcz from an older TCL version, or is it generally necessary/advisable to recreate it in new TCL version using getlocale.tcz?
Thanks!

They will probably work, but no guarantees. Alsa version changes occasionally change channel names -> old volumes don't match, glibc versions shouldn't change the locale-archive binary format, but I doubt there's a guarantee.

Thank you, curaga. Good to know what the potential compatibility issues are.
I'll try them both. If either one doesn't work, it's simple enough to create a replacement.
Thanks again!
